Re: What a powerful human really looks like

Wow! Not too many folks with that strong a life force. To survive all that, live that long, look that guy in the eye, and forgive him.

Re: Rob Allen Trigger Mechanism Upgrade

And people wonder why I won't shoot much of anything but my Rob Allens.
I believe I'll call Vanessa at the Freedive Shop in the morning and see if I can upgrade at least one of my gun's triggers. ...

Shark incident at Fort Brag, CA?

My buddy said he heard some freedivers got chased out of the water off the point at Mackerricher State Park, but I can't find anything about it. Anybody know the story?

Re: Finder battery issues.

No, I didn't. I thought about it. The hole I drilled is just small enough that there's very little play. Also, the excess cable is coiled and tied to the box, so any pulling doesn't strain the...

Re: Finder battery issues.

Update: I found a waterproof box at Wally World for $8 that seals nicely and is just the right size for my battery. I drilled a hole just large enough to run the wires through, siliconed the wiring...

Re: Finder battery issues.

Ok, I rigged everything up and headed to the lake. Since I wasn't diving and wasn't likely to get water in the yak, I just put the battery in the yak and ran the wires out the hatch and under the...

Re: Finder battery issues.

I was at the local hardware store yesterday looking for dielectric grease for the unit's electrical fittings. Found it, and also found a sealed, 12V 5amp battery that looked like it would work well....

Re: Finder battery issues.

Robert, I see that the battery you are using is 3.2 amps. The guys over on norcalkayakangler.com were recommending a 7 amp battery. The 7 amp is bigger. If the smaller battery will last a day of...

Re: Finder battery issues.

I learned that I was doing one thing very wrong. I didn't have the transducer at the proper angle. I didn't realize it needed to be oriented properly. Directions didn't specify. I rebuilt my...

I recieved a new holder for 10 batteries. Actually a two pack of the holders was only $7. Wired one up and loaded it with 10 rechargeables. Unit wouldn't turn on. ...

Re: Finder battery issues.

Hey thanks Joe. That's the other thing I've learned is that not all rechargeable batteries are created equally. I'll look into the more powerful batteries off of Amazon.

Finder battery issues.

I finally got my new Lowrance Elite 3 assembled and installed. I used an 8 AA battery holder, thinking that that would give me 12 volts. Then I looked at the rechargeable batteries I planned to...

Inline fuse?

I'm installing a new Lowrance Elite 3 on my yak. For a power source I'm using a 8, AA battery pack in a mico pelican case. Should I install some kind of inline fuse, or is unnecessary?
Thanks,...
