Re: Where to keep a light while diving?

Murphy's Law could have been written just for kelp. Anytime I have something loose dangling on my belt, kelp finds a way to get wrapped around it and hitched to it.

Light is in my hand or...

Re: Oil rigs

I once dove a California oil rig with a dive charter. Had 100+foot viz and more scallops than you could shake a skyscraper at, if you could shake a skyscraper. Which is basically what the oil rig is....

Re: Land Hunting Perma Thread

I've gotten away with using relatively cheap Victory Arrows. Don't like that they're made in Vietnam, though.

Re: Land Hunting Perma Thread

Fwiw, I shot that boar I posted earlier with a very similar setup to yours. Quartering away, Arrow got the diaphragm and at least one lung, but got stopped by the opposite side plate. As it ran, the...

Re: Land Hunting Perma Thread

The only Rage kill I saw first hand, my friend hit it quartering away kinda far back, it died and rolled down the hill. The entry wound was so wide that the action of rolling down the hill pushed its...

Re: Little Scorpion Anchorage and East (SCI)

I've done that area in the photo by kayak. I found exactly ONE strand of kelp. Lots of rockfish. Saw some huge sheephead.

The ranger told us not to filet any fish at the campground - to do it on...

From what I have observed, really talented hunters...

Re: Syria Conflict

Re: Syria Conflict

The Syrian revolution, as it was when the civil war began, no longer exists. It is a sectarian conflict at this point, between Shiites/Alawites and Sunnis that have ties to al Qaeda. And the civilian...
