Re: How far have spearguns advanced in the last 10-15 years?

One thing that has advanced over the last 10-15 years are bands. Small ID 14.5mm or 16mm Bands are simply better than the old Larger ID Bands.

Majd, There has been a big comeback of the Great...

Re: Ulusub 175 mid handle brand new

Kiel, maybe put up a separate thread. "Looking to trade 172MH for 155RH"

What I use almost all the time here in Hi is the 145RH. That's my Uku Gun. Are you in Molokai?

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

Impressive shooting on that little gun Nevin. Is that a "Poliplast" i.e. or standard Inverter?

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

Pete, is the gun rotating around the Hand, or is the hand being pushed down?

Majd, nice tool.

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

Look at the Handle. That's where the drop is.

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

It does matter Pete if we are looking critically at the Video to see what can be improved. Shaft flight is not so stable. That Thick Shaft is noodling from the start. If that is happening to that...

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

Hi Pete, to me it looks like reverse muzzle lift.. ie Handle drop. If you looks at the Slowmo of the Side View and then Slow it down again and go frame by frame within the 2:35 second, you will see...

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

Hi Paul,

Firstly congratulations on some of the incredible captures. It's too bad we never cross paths. I think I left Bali before you moved there?

It was the tail lift and shaft whip I...

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

Try looking at that video at 0.25 playback speed. There is always Recoil, more so with Heavy Shafts. Even that shaft is whipping. The gun is fantastic. I'm just thinking about what destabilizing...

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

It's too bad we can't figure out how to make Rollers/Inverters which are aligned side to side rather than top to bottom.. In that way they would truly cancel things out.

Pool tests are...

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

Doesn't the 10mm Shaft place a lot of Drag on the Fish? Tearing on the Wahoo Meats? It's fantastic that you are shooting a 10mm Shaft one handed with a 7# Gun.

Re: Chum for Keys Bluewater

one good trick is to use a mini stringer with a T attached to your float or flasher float, you can load up a bunch of baitfish though the eyes and just pull and tear as you go along. easier than a...

Re: Cuttlefish barrels

Are you right handed? Sounds like Recoil Shift. Since you've got the Freeform Air Epoxy there and you've shaped an overmould for the Handle, maybe you could shape an Overmould for the Muzzle and/or a...

Re: Rob Allen Tests Stainless Trigger Mechs

Pete, once again it is so cool that you share your understandings with the rest of us.

Rob, that's amazing to me that after 17,000 cycles you wouldn't have any deformation of a stainless sear....

Re: Rob Allen Tests Stainless Trigger Mechs

Rob, sounds like you have everything under control.

Bottom line is that you used a flawed material or geometry in this test and as such your stainless sears failed miserably after 200 shots with...
