Is there a recommendation for a spacific sealant or varnish I can use on my custom built mahogany gun that will protect it from salt water, UV, scrates...Man I'm keeping that speargun in a sleeping...

I live half time in Eugene (summer months) and half time in the Lapaz aria Baja Mexico. I live in paradise except I'd like to spearfish around here.
