Re: bad headache after dive

Re: Finer points of carbon wrapping a wood gun?

Cool deal man thanks. I was thinking of using your method with the Saran Wrap and sponges taped on tight and then throw that whole mess in the tube and pull a vacuum overnight. Or should I just say...

Re: Finer points of carbon wrapping a wood gun?

I just have a quick question about the Saran Wrap method. Does the Saran Wrap easily come off after the epoxy has cured the next day or do you have to sand it off? Thanks.

Re: Abellan Denton Butt Pads

Not sure if he has any left at this point but if you own a Denton and haven't gotten one of these yet, you're missing out!! Functions perfectly and looks like it was built with the gun. Quality pads...

Re: New gun (local built)

Looks clean. Love the hide-a-knife handle! But what the hell is up with those bands?! Why do they start so far back and not at the tip of the muzzle?

Re: Abellan Denton 120...pics

That's funny because I am attempting the exact same thing! Currently in the middle of my 33" mini Denton dirty water blaster build. The stock on my Denton 120 measures 52.75" long x 2" wide at the...

Re: Abellan Denton 120...pics

Bout damn time bro! ;) The Denton 120 has 120cm of band stretch. Depending on what shaft you use, it can be bumped up to as high as 122cm, I believe.

Re: Best Spearfishing Line?

I live by my bowline knots when tying dyneema. Strongest knot ever. All tightens down on itself as tension is applied and will not come undone unless you want it to. I just use one single bowline but...

Re: Why use notched shafts?

It might be worth mentioning that in theory, compared to sharkfins, notched shafts would effectively 'lower' or 'lessen' the upward angle of the loaded band, reducing muzzle flip and thus improving...

Re: Moana or Deep Apnea 85

Go big or go home! Especially if you have another set for shorediving. I believe I remember G. R. Tarr saying he uses the deep apnea 100 and would go longer if they made them.

That said, I have...

Jon,
She has been proving quite resilient to the elements. She has been used at least once a week. I was pretty anal with oiling it after every use for about the first 2-3 weeks. Would let it...

Re: Best overall dive bag

I have been very pleased with my armor gun bag. Easily fits every piece of my freedive gear and is well made. I have seen the RA and it might be a bit bigger. Both solid choices
