My buddy lived on Oahu and he loved the diving there. Thats how it was for us as well. We were lucky enough to live beach front in Kahana, Maui (Just south of Kapalua). I got to know every nook and cranny of the small reef behind our place. It's amazing that within 50 yards, you could find tako, lobster and good reef fish for 3 prongin... Hopefully riley's hump will get an opportunity to dive when he's out there. I suppose, even if you can't spear, just freediving and seeing everything is worth it as well.
