We braved the conditions today and it was worth the effort. Three divers (reefreaper, myself, plus one other) and we all dropped together so we could get through the day and beat the afternoon storms. Mike took a 51 lb cobia and I landed a decent gag on the first drop. 25-30 vis in 90'. Finished the day with my first Jax hogfish a little over 18" FL in 80' w/ 10' vis.

Ya'll had bigger gills than me I think we saw you getting it going out of the inlet. We went about a mile and called it. Good Job on the fishes! I know Mike is relieved to have his cobia monkey of his back.

Yes! It is finally off my back, with a personal best! You made the right call.. It was white capping all day. Definitely sporty for the Polar.

Not trying to be an A-hole but a good friend of mine here in Jax did that and a quick change in weather broke the boat loose....he and another spent 30 some hours floating, hoping the CG would find them.....not a fun night for them....They were found 2 hours before the search was to be called off...
Just saying I know I will never leave a boat unattended.....Nice work on the fish though...

LOL We are not that crazy. The captain is a H/L guy, He stayed on the boat all day. He worked on the seabass while we worked on the bigger game. Your concern is much appreciated

My cobia video is in progress....

First cobia followed Thacker for a good while till he turned around, by that time I was on it. The shaft went completely through him making it easier for the clown to rip off. After it tore off the other diver had 2sec to react, (you can hear me scream "shoot it!") Second cobia was my personal best and was the easiest clown to land to date.

Nice. Too few of those things go lights out like that. Congrats on the PB! I'll give your underwater pronunciation an 8. Good form there.
