Red Sores on Gags
Hi Everyone,
Yesterday I was hook/line grouper fishing in 73 ft of water and caught several short Gags that had perfectly round sores on them. About the size of a quarter, maybe a little larger. Caught about 5 with the sores. Thought could it be injuries of this fight, could it be old injuries and I came up to the conclusion that they were not. My buddy was fishing about 30 yards from us and he was seeing the same round sores on the gags he caught. Has anyone else see these on the Gags yesterday? Has there been other reports of this? Anyways, Hope everyone has a safe 4th! Nick |

Re: Red Sores on Gags
During the storm gags and other fish pile up under structure pretty tight. Lots of water movement and ground swell could cause then to come in contact with the same type of organisms that sting and stick us when we're down there digging around. Lots of stuff down there got stirred up so nothing would suprize me much.

Re: Red Sores on Gags
Any chance they looked like any of the sores on the fish in the link?
