Camo-tech

The other nite I decided that my Rabitech 130 needed to be camoflage. A small paintbrush and several Sam Adams later this is what I had.

Damn those fish you painted on your boat are so lifelike.

Re: Camo-tech

Actually most of the fish were shot by my compadres yesterday. I do take credit for a few mangoes and a sheepy. Thought it made a better background than the garage.

That thing really is money. Too bad he only did one side. He was able to shoot 5x as many fish swinging to the left as he was to the right. I definitely have a cold front weekend set aside to paint my guns like that!

Re: Camo-tech

Is that barel Aluminum or carbon? I've tried panting al. numerous times and can't get it to stick, even with an etching primer. The paint job looks great, any pointers? How's it holding up?

Re: Camo-tech

Its carbon fiber. I tested a small piece of metal up by the muzzle and it didnt stick to that very good. I did run it up onto the rail which I believe is plastic and it took just fine. The paint is ultra-cheapo, generic brand spray paint that I sprayed into the cap and painted on with a brush. Was all I had around when the urge struck.
