its time to buy...pls recommend where...(Riffe MT 3)

Well, I think I've made a decision to go with a Riffe MT 3, but please feel free to tell me I'm wrong if I'm not thinking correctly.

I'm a cold water diver who dives Monterey regularly. Never spearfished in my life, but dive often. Looking for Ling Cod, Halibut, etc. Have been an observer on ten or more halibut dives, both successful and not so successful (sometimes, ya just don't find one...)

The wife is likely to buy me a gun for my birthday or for XMAS, and I'd appreciate knowing where to send her....

Any ideas on a decent price? What else will she need to buy? (one spear with tip(s)?)

Tell me where I've gone wrong...

Hi Sean,

I heard Pirate Scuba is good priced. But wait for the US based hunters, they should know best. If your viz is not that good, keep that MT3 standard with 3 bands and the 5/16" shaft.

For freeshafting do a little search on the forum, I don't have experience at all with free shafting.
