I'll launch the yak now and meet ya thurs! Cortez Bank shut me down the one time I got there last year. I keep talking to Rob about doing a charter for some of the Morro Bay guys. Good luck if you go.

Yeah, that weather window is looking a little fragile.

Tommy, I'll let you do the scouting, fuel prices being what they are. Can you check SCI for me while you're out?

Re: I would love to take a chance on:

there is some 66 degree water 5 miles off Long Point...things are starting to shape up..Cortez is an interesting proposition this time of year...it could be loaded with wsb although the water temp is currently 53-54 degrees...a couple of years age, a net boat was busted with a big load of wsb taken this early in the season at Cortez..just checked over the conditions..Thur is a pretty narrow window to slide thru for an offshore run..but, that is how Spearboard heros and legends are created...weekend looks like toast.... if it was me, I would head for the v's area on the backside of Catalina...some larger size wsb landed over the weekend and known squid factor makes it an automatic choice...then, when it rolls over, you can finish up at Lua Larry's while searching for Miss Vicki, patron lover of all divers....
