Great dive weekend
I hope anyone who loves this sport had a chance to get out this weekend ,and enjoy what Mother Nature shared w/you.
I was blessed w/3days of awesome diving w/friends,and family. Day 1. Hooked up w/ a member of the board her ,and had super conditions on the backside of Cruz.30-40' vis w/calm water. We must have caught 25-30 just short lobsters, while seeing a huge amount of shorts. It's not always about taking game home to the family, and this day reminded me of that. Thanks for comin along Brent, hope to get the kids out on something like that soon. Day 2. Hardly any swell in the water untill we hit the gap area on our way towards the west end of Rosa, then it got just a touch snotty, but way doable. pulled up to 30',and could see the urchin, and ledges.Epic! Jumped in ,and pulled a limit of real nice bugs.STOKED! Then H&Led a limit of RFs.Ride home wasnt the best as wind ,and swell had jumped to 2-4,w/small whitecaps..not too bad tho. Day 3.Made our way back over to Rosa even though the NWS said 30 knts in the afternoon...dead calm wind almost the whole way,but the swell was about 2-4. On our way to our spot we come across a carcass of a Sae Lion, pretty easy to tell what happened to the critter,as you could clearly see bite marks on it.It was a little less than a mile from the dive area ,but what the hell,it probably drifted from Miguel for a day the wat it looked,so we went for it. Scored another 4 nice ones, and a sackfull of RFs for dinner. The wind never came up at all. Well I hope you folks had as good or a better weekend of water fun as I had. Cheers ![]() ![]() MJ. |
