Trip Report SLI freedive sat 5/5

Stellar conditions for Hector, myself, and jeff with my buddy ken driving and me navigating betwen diving. Not sure if I was stoked more over filling cooler or the fact most fish came from 'new' spot that was really nice and seemed untouched follwing opening of grouper season. All fish off artifificials in 55-65 ft. Total was 3 gags, one solid cobia, and one nice mangrove (not pictured). I tested my new gopro, but missed best footage...learning curve I guess with battery and how I used it. Did get some great clips of dropping on structure that normally isn't visable when water is crappy. We lacked on photos but cobia swimming with shafts is framegrab from gopro.

Edit sorry, had to remove cooler shot b/c three grouper and a cobia on ice with no bodies present breaks rules

That's a great cooler of fish for any three Guys, but getting them freediving is even more impressive. Congratulations on a great day.

Thanks, but I gotta give credit to the two cuban guys , they out dove and out shot me by a long shot...I was too busy f-ing with the gopro...then again if I wasn't there to put them on the spots I think they'd be shooting mojara in the sand
