Dude not to hijack your thread... but the above description of the Dominican Republic divers is reminiscent of a good friend from my Navy Diver days. His name is Ulysses 'Lucky' Morerro (spelling escapes me) and he was from DR. This dude would put gloves on his feet, made a scuba backpack out of plywood, wetsuit all sorts of holes in it, break out an old home made aluminum gun made out of God know what... swim out to Watch Hill reef in Rhode Island and shoot huge bass. Then he'd go back out with his catch bag and get a bunch of spider crabs, conch, clams, sea urchins and what ever else was laying about. I asked him what all that crap was for... his reply? "That chit make a good stew mang." My point? He is awesome. That's it.

Beautiful gun. I'd make an offer but my patient and loving wife would kill me with dirty looks if I bought another. Hell... the Hatch that is on the way... well, I'm going to have to explain that one soon enough.
