I wish I knew how he is doing. He has not been returning calls or PM's. I am pretty worried about him.

Re: PNW Freedive Spearfishing Tournament!

Little Goat, I hope you can manage to find some time to come compete since it's labor day weekend. It'd be good to have you. Either way, I'm sure that the guys would really appreciate some good home brews with the BBQ. I personally like a good euro style (low on hop and high on malty taste) brown or red ale.

Fishhunter, some of these northern boys might take that as aggressive language. I hope you're ready to back it up on the 1st. Bring your southern brethren with you!

Max, keep trying to get in touch with Beaver. Until we know what's going on I'll be praying for God's healing hands on him.

Just called and left another message today. He could definitely use prayer. His cancer is pretty advanced.

Re: PNW Freedive Spearfishing Tournament!

im down for this! any ideas for location?

littlegoat~ im a big fan of imperial IPAs and sour ales. i know sours arent too fun to brew for most and not enjoyed for drinking by many so i understand if thats a no-go.

i wish i had something to contribute as well. besides money.

Re: PNW Freedive Spearfishing Tournament!

Good to know Steve, thanks. Not many of us up here are familiar with Brookings because it's such a mission to get there but if the trip was an overnighter I could see it working out for sure. I think I can speak for everyone in saying that we sure would love to add abs to the menu!

Re: PNW Freedive Spearfishing Tournament!

They are finally here at last gentlemen. I'm very sorry for the long delay. Please do your best to sign up and get the funds in early so that we have prizes at the tournament rather then pictures of the prizes that will be in the mail. Either way, we are planning on a great time with friends and good competition. If you are just beginning or have decades of experience you are more then welcome. Bring your family and enjoy the bbq after weigh in as well. Warm suits and tight bands gents!

Re: PNW Freedive Spearfishing Tournament!

Nice job phil. Everything looks very professional. But why no honors for big chinas or coppers or are you just assuming they won't be targeted as they are typical smaller?

I know it's not spear fishing, but what about a big scallop/dungie division? Shell required

Re: PNW Freedive Spearfishing Tournament!

I am planning on adding the china rock and scallop category if enough people sign up quickly. Right now the only people who have said they would show up are Max, Calvin, Josh, you, Casey , and myself. If there are are few competitors then there are few funds, which means few prizes. Dennis Haussler is donating a pair of fins, Josh Humbert is donating a Tahitian Pearl Necklace, I purchased a dive knife, and Casey and I are building a spear gun. The rest of the prizes will be purchased as the entry fees are received.

FOR EVERYONE SIGNING UP

!!! PLEASE PM ME WHEN YOU SEND OUT YOUR LIABILITY FORM AND MONEY !!!
