Tony, the IUSA records are only freediving. Scamp are usually deep water fish as you know and I wondered about that freedive vs. scuba question too when I first saw the new record. I do know freedivers like Chad Palin who have taken normally deep water warsaw grouper when the cold water upwellings occur. Reading the take story by Andrew would be interesting. Tony

I have taken scamp in 70 fsw off the coast of Stuart, FL, so, there any number of spearos here could do that while freediving.
