Collier County, Florida Regulations

Does anyone on this board spearfish in Collier County?

I own the website http://www.floridagofishing.com and I have updated the Collier County GPS Reef Chart with sites that you can spearfish.

I need someone from the area to verify if my chart is correct. I have tried to reach somone in marine patrol with no luck. I have worked with a FWC rep who knows the artificials and he said my chart looks OK.

FYI, no spearing in State waters in Collier County. I used a Google Earth overlay that id's state/federal boundries and it was easy enought to figure out which were in Federal waters and OK to spear.

The list may have more sites that I don't know about so if someone is knowledgable of the area I would appreciate it. This will help all hunters stay out of trouble and easily find sites to spear.

Sort the list by Longitude and all the sites are together at the bottom of the list. http://www.floridagofishing.com/reef...er-county.html

I spear their plenty and your chart looks good to me. No spearing in county waters and the county waters extend out 9 nm. everything else is federal water and is fair game under the federal rules

Snappa86, thank you for checking out the chart.

Do you know if The Kidd is in Federal waters. On my chart overlay it seems to land right on the state line.

I'm out of town right now but will be back next week and check for you on my gps, although I'm 90% sure it is past the 9 miles and it is legal I just haven't been out to that wreck in a long time
