New to the Boards
Hey guys I have been fishing La Jolla and Pt Loma my entire life but never really tried spear fishing. Thanks to my 12 years of waterpolo Im a very good swimmer and it finally hit me that since the fish arnt biting on rod and reel I should put my swimming to good use and try and shoot some fish. I have only done some Hawaiian Sling stuff in the bay so I am looking to learn anything and everything that you guys are willing to share. I dont have a boat so it would be difficult to get out there, but I am more then willing to split gas and help do any boat work in order to get out there and learn.

Welcome to the board! I would definitely advise sticking to the buddy system and starting slow. Safety first! I don't live anywhere near you, so I can't really specifically help you.
