MK II Combat Support Boat (CSB) 27 foot thick aluminum hull with dual jet drives made by dowty ( similar to hamilton ) with twin axle trailer located in Stuart Fl $9,000 the low price is because the engines have been taken out but the jet drives are worth the 9k alone. call 772-545-3472 photos attached

Re: 27' Aluminum Combat Support Boat (CSB) jet drives

Aluminum boats are tough. They are usualy retired due to structural issues. I had a 25 Ram Sea Arc commander that was a FWC boat. It was retired after 3 years. The AL boats are light and fast but beat you to death. You may be better parting yours out and scrapping the hull. It would make a good salvage or tow boat but towing with Jet drives isn't that efficient and takes Lots of power, still you could ask around to the Salvage or Tow boat US guys. Mine was in Great shape and had twin 150 optis on an aluminum trailer and I had 14k ( The boat was 140k new) into it after rebuilding a powerhead. That was when the market was Good 3 years ago. Now the market is crap and will be for a long while.
My suggestion is contact the towers, or Salvors, there is a huge guy out of the NE that runs everything from little tow boats to ocean going tugs for freighters etc. I would contact him, see if he has any interest. Also Check the commercial boat listings, Those types of boats are usualy in good demand in Canada and BC, and all along those cold freshwater places.

NP. just got back from Portland OR, and prboably 75% of the boats out there were aluminum and many had jet drives. May not hurt to throw it on CL out there.

Re: 27' Aluminum Combat Support Boat (CSB) jet drives

Please give me a call if the boat is still for sale.

And as a note to "seacraftslinger". ( and don't take this the wrong way) I can't belive that you would recomend that he scrap this hull. I have maintained these boats for the last 15 years and have only one occassion seen one of these CSBs have "structural issues" and that was only after some nimrod US Army engineer dicided that he should ram his boat into everyting on the HAN river in Korea, to include the floting bridge another boat and the friggin beach, all at full thottle. Dude these boat were built as COMBAT Support Boats. Can you say "Soldier Proof " They are retired on hours, age, or when the army desides that they have to many boats. usly after they disband a unit..

Re: 27' Aluminum Combat Support Boat (CSB) jet drives

Hi,

My CSB is still for sale if anyone is interested, I don't really use it anymore save for the odd fishing trip now and again. The boat is structurally fine but the engines/gearboxes are tired. Both jets are fine as far as I am aware.

I would reiterate the boat is in the UK Channel Islands, I have no idea how you would get it to the US.

Thanks,

Adam
