Out of Seal Beach tomorrow

I'm heading up to LA tomorrow morning to get a ride on my friends new boat. He is docked somewhere around Seal Beach. He just moved to LA from Oklahoma and I've only dived around Santa Barbara and San Diego. I'm introducing him to spearfishing so I figured we would cruise up to PV and check out the water. I don't know the area so if anyone could give me some advice (MLPA boundaries especially) it would be much appreciated. I'm not asking for anyone's private spot or anything, just a heads up on where I can't go. Anything would be appreciated.
