A lot different from the Hybrids you usually see (half wood/pipe)... it looks gorgeous, congrats!

Cool concept - so you slide the spectra loops into the muzzle holes and just line it up so that the pin runs through the loop, securing it. Is that right? I assume the hole is big enough so that you can see what you are doing when you line it all up.

thats it , the pin is actualy a screw with threds on the tip only so it wont mess up the loop or fall out
the hole is big enuff to see whats going on + have room for a small pin to help line things up.

Re: new hybird prototype

I'll be back the last weekend in May. And I'd be psyched to take it down south with me next time I go down, which will hopefully be shortly after I get back. What kind of shaft/tip are you putting on it?

Re: new hybird prototype

Hey Phil, what trigger do you have in it - the new Neptonics? Have you done any testing with three bands?

By the way, I love padauk.

Great work Phil!

I love the shape, handle, line release, muzzle design, woodworking skills, finish ... everything looks like a perfectionist has been hard at work.

Re: new hybird prototype

Yet another cool new idea Phil. I'm starting to get all jazzed up for my new blank. BTW, thanks for the close up of your handle, line drop and remote. I can't wait man....

yes its a neptonics three bands are the max i would use without using larger pins that is the weak point but i havent sean any deformation . i am actualy about to cut a window in the top of a housing so i can look in while in use.
allmost all my own guns are paduk it looks on fire in the water.

Re: new hybird prototype

that gun looks awsome but i dont get how its a hybrid,i thought that a hybrid was half titanium/carbfiber and half wood.Does the two differant types of wood make it a hybrid?

to me a hybird is all about barel / butt size ,small euro size dia. barel so it will swing ez with a large american style butt to counteract recoill .
hybird means haf bread half euro / half american , it has nothing to do with what its made of. the two woods are just for looks
