Shark Tales Report 6-22-08

Sunday was an interesting day on the water for sure. We were greeted with flatter than flat seas, blue sky's and a surface temp of 80 degree. On our first drop we broke through the nasty greenish brown snot only to find water temps in the 60's.....burrrrrr. The vis however was very nice on the bottom. As long as the sun stay out we did not you did not need your flashlight. The fish were no where to be found for us. I guess they high tailed it to the Bahamas in search of water water.

Captain Tony dives around and keeps loose company. He has a U/W scooter in his closet and likes it!

that water was bitter cold sun.... A few of us did the same first drop you did and just canned the dive after hitting 130fsw. The thermo/updwelling was sharp, there wasn't two feet of water between 75 and 67 degrees, Rumor has it the updwelling is movin out

Hey Laura... Yes it was very cold. I think those AJ's were looking for somewhere to get warm. I don't doubt you guys killed all the fish.... especially the Hogs.

OceanEd.... I guess the secrets out... but Tony has broad shoulders... he can handle the pressure. Rumor has it he loan a "Young Gun" a scooter recently. Something about "being afraid to dive deep without it".

John ...your jealously for my youth will not get you out the wheelchair. I would be happy to start a rehab class to get you dinosaurs swimming again, god knows I'd hate to see what would happen if that scooter malfunctioned at 160fsw .... crack ... cramp .... outta breath ... your buddies have tow ropes on those babies right??

John:

At least now I know that Tony "swings both ways" when it comes to his diving preferences.

Didn't your parents teach you to respect your elders! Making fun of the handicapped is not very nice either.
