Santa Barbara report

I dove the high tide last night at the Pit (we went in maybe 50 yards toward Hope Ranch) with Andrew. We got in right before 9PM and stayed out for an hour and 25 min.

The ocean was in the low 60's, pretty flat, 1'-6" vis. The water was milky, and gave a lot of backsplash from my light.

I saw some perch, one box jelly, and a few small rock crabs that I left for another day when they've grow up.

Andrew caught a few bugs but they were all short. I only saw 2 bugs the whole dive and caught 1. He was just over legal so I invited him home for dinner.

It was a pretty cold dive, despite filling my suit with hot water before getting in, but it was nice to be out in the sea under the full moon.
