Obama's infomercial

As Rachael Maddow said, "he had me from the waving wheat."

But aside from my emotional response, I thought it was very effective. But then I admit that its hard to disregard my emotional response.

Of course some of the stuff said about him being so effective from day one in the Senate is obviously open to question, but I thought those personal pieces on real Americans who are victims of current policies even though they played by the rules were shit hot.

I couldn't help comparing them to Joe the Plumber. If the Republicans go out looking for ways to tear them new assholes and show that their stories were fabrications like Joe's, I wonder how much success they will have. I'm sure they will try though, so I guess we'll see.
