Re: BW Raffle
The Raffle is always a ton of fun! The bidding wars on a few select items are a blast as well! 11 days and counting!

Re: BW Raffle
Hey guys, check out this speargun. It's a one-of-a-kind Wong speargun with a mother-of-pearl inlay by one of our artists -- Craig Lavin. It looks gorgeous in the photo, and I'm told that doesn't even do it justice. The grain on that piece of teak is very special too. I know Daryl saves the extra nice pieces for the Expo guns.
How about going spearfishing off that Contender with this speargun and running into lots of giant fish? Sounds like a good fantasy to me. Florida Boy, raffle tickets are $20 for an arm's length of tickets, and you can drop them into the bottle of whatever item you want to win. |

Re: BW Raffle
I'm assuming the expo is not a charity event?

Re: BW Raffle
Actually, I started the event in 2006 because I had just become President of Twin Palms Center (a non-profit for the Disabled where my brother goes), and they were about to go broke. I'm happy to say that within 3 years, this event put them in the black after several years of running in the red. We still give to them, but I now also give some to IUSA (I'm President of that too), and also a portion to Wounded Warriors (I am NOT President of that ).
By the way, I don't like being President of anything, but if I get pushed into it, I will do it to the very best of my ability until someone else kindly takes over. |
