1989 Boston Whaler Outrage 18/Honda BF130 4stroke

$15,000
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/boa/3346304293.html more pix there

I am selling my 1989 boston whaler Outrage 18 with a 2002 honda BF130 4 stroke outboard. The Honda has approx 325 hours on a new head that was replaced under honda warranty. Comes with 2007 Boston Whaler Trailer, new tires were purchased this year and boat has had both upper and lower unit oil changes every 100 hours since I have owned it. All gas lines have been replaced (fuel fill, fuel vent, fuel feed, etc) as has low pressure fuel pump and I upgraded it with a bigger front windshield and fuse panel. With 3 people aboard and a full load I average anywhere from 3-3.5 mpg at 4k rpms moving at 24 mph and have been out in rough swell with 20 knot winds. Comes with factory 60 gallon under deck gas tank (rough range of about 180 miles) forward cooler, leaning post, vhf, Raymarine L760 color fishfinder/gps combo, and bimini top. I make weekly trips to Catalina in this boat and have recently run to san clemente island (120 miles round trip) and santa barbara island with absolutely no problems. The Boston Whaler Outrage has the unsinkable hull and was built for serious offshore fishing, I cannot tell you how many white seabass and yellowail have hit the deck of this boat and NO, I won't seatrial you to my secret spots . I cannot tell you how much I love this boat, I am only considering selling it because I might be buying a bigger boat.

Chris!
Don't do it!

My little 21 Outrage was the best boat I ever owned. Simple and inexpensive to run. You could beat the hell out of it and not worry. Easy to trailer and launch solo.
I sure miss that boat!

Anyways, good luck wth the sale!

What are you doing looking at boats Joe, don't you know how dangerous that is??? . I didn't know you had a 21' outrage. I love mine as I did the montauk but I'd like to have a bigger boat that I go a bit further on. The best part is if it sells I'll get a bigger boat. And if it doesn't sell then I'll just keep killing fish on it .

Chris, don't do it man. Everytime i think about buying a bigger boat, i remind myself that i get 5 mpg on the one i own ready. You don't need a bigger boat. I came up with a solution this week for overnight trips. Headed to Cat for a 2 day trip tomorrow. We'll see how comfortable it is.

Re: 1989 Boston Whaler Outrage 18/Honda BF130 4stroke

I have an antique (1971) 21' Whaler Outrage and bought a bigger boat. Although I love the big boat for long trips and rough weather, I still use my Whaler 3X more often because of the ease of use, easy trailering, and because I am still in love with my Whaler!

For those who don't know, you are looking at a fine rig here.

Joe - Just to keep you posted, my buddy repowered your old Whaler this year and put in a new fuel tank. It's such a great boat and it's running like new.

Good luck with the sale Chris. You can't go wrong if you have a greenlight for a larger boat

Thanks guys, got some bites so we'll see what happens. If it doesn't sell then I'll still be happy with her, I'd just like to upgrade ONE more time to a bigger boat with twin 4strokes. Famous last words
