3 halibut doesn't constitute a lot of halibut .

Nice fish though, esp the one at cat

Re: poll-halibut versus white seabass

I really don't like halibut. I usually don't hunt for them or skip them altogether. When I shot them a lot in Monterey, I usually give them away.

WSB is fun to hunt but the taste is kinda okay. Yellowtail is better but I only like them super fresh. Frozen yellowtail or WSB--bleh.

Honestly, I like calico the most. Cabrilla and Pargo are up there.

Good thing because I like hunting calico...

I don't agree that frozen cbass is bleh, but I do agree that the calico is one of the best eating around and one of the funnest to hunt as well. I also don't really care for halibut and give it all away.

I wonder how many of the people that voted don't have a REAL opinion since they have eaten halibut more than cbass or may be confusing it with Alaskan Halibut they may have had in a restaurant.

I am simply surprised that so many more claim to enjoy halibut more

Re: poll-halibut versus white seabass

I really enjoy the thrill of getting a big WSB but my wife loves Halibut. I was lucky enough to get a solid halibut today, so it's fish for dinner tomorrow!
