Mako Band Setup

Hey, I'm about to order a Mako Predator Pro 100, but i'm not sure if i should go for the 2x16 or the single 20mm band. Any one have any opinions on what's better and why? I'm worried that 2x16 might be too much power.

Re: Mako Band Setup

A single 20mm band is good for quicker loading, but it takes a greater amount of strength and energy to load. You regulate power by which notch you use.

Having two 16mm bands is easier for people with less upper body strength to load. It also lets you use only one for hole shots/smaller fish.

Tailor the bands to your needs and what you will hunt 90% of the time.

Re: Mako Band Setup

id say 1 20mm band will be fine for a 100cm gun. 2 16mm if you go longer though

Re: Mako Band Setup

I've found one short 16mm band is a great combination for a 90-100cm gun. Others may not agree but that's how a lot of guys have their guns set up in Oz. 1 hot 16mm rubber and a 7mm spear. I use that setup for my 90cm RA. This way you can get Dano to cut both bands short for you, and you can carry a spare around.
