Garrapata today, 8/25

Hey, so I finally made it out diving for the first time since I moved down here from Humboldt in February. Went to Moby Ling Cove in Garrapata and the vis was awful. I had a nice time getting wet and seeing the perch and baby rockfish, but I didn't see a single ling or cab. There was a lot of sand, and the whole area was pretty shallow. A 3-ft ground swell from the wnw was moving everything top to bottom. Saw a kelpie and a couple of black and yellows, but didn't pull the trigger. Not the amazing report, but the lousy ones are important too. Better luck next time.

Try the other side of the point

Thanks! The first time I dove Garrapata I tried the other side--way nicer. I'll do that next time again. Just thought I'd try something new.
