Re: Daily Vis Report Thread

No ****ing clue what's going on w/ the buoy in Newport. Was over 50 just a couple days ago, then just started dropping the last few days. Right now down to 47, meaning the water's warmer in Boston Harbor (48)

I think spring has been officially cancelled at least in this part of New England and we will transition straight to summer.

Dove NH today, not a big surprise nothing swimming around, waters still 43-46 degrees. I have heard of a couple people catching stripers already.

This was my first dive with my new 7mm Riffe suit, Wow, incredibly warm! the combination of a better fit and 7mm vs 5mm to my old Omer is night and day difference.

Narragansett low tide - viz 0.5 ft. You can dive with your eyes shut with the same success. Wasted time...

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread

Went for a quick dip yesterday off Newport. Up the bay the viz was maybe 6' on the incoming. Water was 49F, actually felt warmer deeper than 40'.

Saw one tog about 17", it was delicious! After my dive I drove by Benton's and saw a few guys, but they didn't land any fish when I went by.
