Wow. Looks pretty fancy, but I don't think I'd care to go 1000' down in it, no matter how well it works.

Wait, did they say this job is only at 200 feet?? I guess it's okay to get the suits 'toes wet' ....pretty cool tho..

I guess what I like about it is no decompression required. It is a 1 ATM suit.

Nothing new... Sylvia Earl used a similar suit good to 1200 fsw a decade ago. I wouldn't mind taking a walk in one for sure.

Re: Have you heard of the Exosuit dive suit?

OK this is off topic, sorry.
Moose, you might be able to answer this. Our local lake, (Donner), is approximately 325' deep, and at an altitude of 6000'. My sons and I freedive it often, and the other day my boys were asking if it were possible to scuba dive to the bottom. I have no knowledge of tech diving, so I have no idea.
Could it be done? I don't mean with the above described suit, but with more conventional gear.
*I have no intention of trying. When we get drownings with body recoveries below 100' we use an ROV.
Thanks,
Ron.

Without looking at my tables, at 6000' elevation, at 325" actual depth, you are looking at an equivalent of, or close to 400', due to compensation of the altitude. You are looking at having to use some serious Tri-Mix or even a re-breather. On conventional scuba, it would be a one-way trip.

I think I have read here on SB that those guys around Florida and the surrounding states like to dive and hunt on scuba to depths of 150' to 200'. Don't know if that is conventional scuba or Tri-Mix.

I've done 250' in the ocean on air and 150' in Tahoe on air . I stoped tank diving before I got into the teck stuff but I don't see any reason you couldn't make it to the bottom on a mixed gas deco dive . Or just no limits Freedive it !

Phil, you've obviously never seen me freedive. I said the lake is 325', not 32.5'.
