Re: Opinion on C4
I have the 40 stiffness fins with the Salvimar Delta One foot pockets. They work real well for ascents and descents, but being a stiffer fin, they take their toll on my oxygen. I really should have went with the 30s, but whatever. Surface swimming is fairly fast, but extended swims make my ankles hurt. 30s should be good for just about everyone, unless you have the leg muscles or a heavy set guy for the 40s. Thinking about selling my 40 Falcon VGRs for less stiff DiveR fins.

Re: Opinion on C4
I had the 30's for about two years in Picasso Black Team pockets. I only got rid of them because I got a screaming deal on a pair of Skorpio 30's. Chuam has my Falcon 30 blades and has been using them for about 2 years.
They were awsome blades and I have no complaints. They were a dramatic upgrade from my plastic Black Team blades. |

Re: Opinion on C4
I have Scorpio 40s in Omer Stingray pockets. I am 6', 175lbs, and a very strong swimmer... I love my 40s but they are no joke. For deep spearing, blue water, and ripping currents they are incredible but it took a while for my ankles to condition to the point where I could comfortably dive with them all day, and I had previously been using the competition stiffness Millenium plastic blades. I personally like a stiff fin; I hate feeling like I am running in place when I want to come off the bottom from depth. Before getting my 40s I tried my buddy's 30s in a pool but they felt too squishy (running in place) for my taste, but most people I know dive with 30s and find the 40s to be overkill.

Re: Opinion on C4
I have them and like them. H Dessault footpockets are the best fit for my feet.

i love mine i have the mustang pockets and love them but i have the feugo blades in 40 but i think they are still too squishy i want to try the c4 flaps without the vgr rails the truth is though that i can kick in mine for 6 to 8 hours against a current and i still dont get tired
