Ponce 6/29/06

Seas 2', got sloppy late. First dive @ the 15's, 100 ft. Vis 1' at 60, beautiful on bottom(100'), 30-40 ft. Temp mid 70's, minimal current. Lot's of fish, not 1 bug spotted.
Second dive @ PG, same conditions, vis might have been slightly better.
Did some hook and line between dives and the bottom bite was great.

The take
7 Grouper to 18#, scamps, gags, reds
3 Mangoes to 10#
3 Flounder to 6#
Ass't Triggers, Sheeps

Great day on the water diving w/ Underwatertaker.

Looks like yall had fun. Sucky mid vis isn't all that unusual. After that big thermo a couple of years ago it seemed pretty common.

Re: Ponce 6/29/06

Had a great day w/Hydro and his buddy Randy. Good haul and very good conditions. I have never seen as many groupers on a couple dives as we did that day...juveniles as well as adults. Fish were plentiful. Conditions were good enough, that I was able to hover above the ledge about 20' and stalk a gag and come down and shoot it. Out of Ponce we're so used to poor vis and shooting our fish under the ledges or hulls of ships...what a treat not to have to use a dive light.
Thanks Hydro! Look forward to diving w/you again.
