What's the current going rate?

I have been buying at 2.75 for under 12oz and 5.75 over 12oz for the past few months. I was recently able to go up to 4.00 on the under 12oz and I want to always make sure the divers are taken care of

The places I sell to just buy everything at the same price. Most are big ones though.

I prefer to leave the little ones dead on the bottom for something to hopefully eat and to associate Lion Fish as food.

God Bess You!

We will never eradicate the lionfish, but we can give the commercial fish a chance to survive. Kill any lionfish, regardless of size.

Two well known facts:
  • Lionfish reach sexual maturity at one year (too small to eat)
  • A mature female lionfish produces 2 million eggs per year
One relatively unknown (but important) fact:
  • If you can wipe every lionfish off a small natural reef or artificial reef, it can take many months for the lionfish to start
re-population which gives the commercial fish a chance grow large enough to survive.

Nope, wasn't us.

Different areas have a variety of market prices. This is just the rate we are able to currently pay out. We also pickup from anywhere in FL currently. I invite everyone to register at www.cash4lionfish.com and we'll be able to update everyone on any price changes in the future. Just curious are you required to clip spines or gut at that rate?

That is for a pound of filleted lionfish at retail stores, and in some places it's even more

Question is , will they buy only from spearos that have a SPL License.

We don't want this to turn into a Gold Rush.
