Glacier Bay 2680

2005 Glacier Bay 2680 in excellent condition. I bought this catamaran from a fellow Spearboard member back in 2012. I have kept it behind my home in Channel Islands Harbor ever since, using it mostly for dive trips to the islands. It has been an incredible boat to own and has never missed a beat. The only reason it’s for sale is that I am relocating for work. These overbuilt cats offer the most comfortable ride you will ever experience and are the best scuba/free dive platform period.

Here is a link to the original listing:

This is a 2680 model so it features a hardtop with glass enclosure and rear windowed canvas enclosure. It feels as if it were designed for our SoCal waters and weather. Cabin has a queen-sized berth, marine head withf 15 gallon holding tank, microwave, sink/shower, screened hatches, and tons of storage.

Cockpit has comfortable seating for three plus the captain. Full electronics include Raymarine C120 Classic 12" Chartplotter with integrated GPS, sonar, and radar. Raymarine autopilot perfectly interfaces into the system and is my favorite feature. Also includes a Fusion iPod stereo with cockpit and deck speakers, Standard Horizon VHF radio, and an electric anchor windlass.

Four new batteries with high-end power distribution system, built-in 110v charging and shore power, and solar-powered compartment venting.

Powered by twin 2004 Yamaha four-stroke 150 HP outboards with less than 800 total hours. Full recent serviced service performed so both motors are running perfectly. Features a complete Yamaha control package with two digital tachometers, and fuel management gauges. Top speed is right around 32 mph with the most efficient cruise at 20 mph (slightly less than 2 mpg for both motors). Each motor is totally redundant meaning you will always get home.

180 gallons total fuel, 30 gallon freshwater tank with deck shower and wash down. Incredible underdeck storage fits tons of gear and tanks. 4-gun spear rack on the roof along with spotting tower. Amazing dive platform between the engines with integrated hideaway ladder. Custom handrails designed to hold a dinghy out of the water for storage/transport. LED underwater lights are perfect for night dives. Also features Rocket launchers, lots of deck lighting, and an integrated bait tank.

I just had the boat hauled for fresh bottom paint and complete engine servicing. All of the cables were replaced, a major service was performed, and I even had the entire hull buffed and waxed. Receipts will be included for the $10k of work that was performed.

I never bought a trailer as I had no need for one and the previous owner kept it in King Harbor. Trailers are available new/used online if you search. In any case, this boat is ready to go and I am happy to sea trial it for any serious buyers. Comes with all manuals and safety gear. I think this may be the only one available on the West Coast right now. Figured I would offer it locally here first. Asking $49,500.

Re: Glacier Bay 2680

Steve,

This was my buddy Todd’s boat back in the day. I haven’t seen it in a few years but it was a great boat and I took many a trip on it back in the day.
