11/11/11 Sheepies!
Here is my video from Friday. It was a lot of fun! I'm sorry to hear that Port A was fail.
I could have been more picky and choosie on my fish but the water was 68 and I was freeballing without a wetsuit so I got in and out in under an hour. BHP Spearfishing - YouTube |

Cool video! Ya'll have it made down there. That is about as good as it gets in Galveston, and with surf like that it would be bad for sure.

That must be Bob Hall Pier. I surfed there a few times when I lived in Texas. Do you spear fish other than Sheepshead there?

Re: 11/11/11 Sheepies!
I dont go when it is really crowded.. and yes somtimes they get angry and once a guy tried to snag me intentionally. Generally I go out and talk to the guys who are the regulars and offer to get them any rays or trash fish for shark bait. This day it was pretty empty.
The management is pretty cool, I go there daily, sometimes twice strolling my 2 year old and they want a DVD to play on thier big screen. On a side note, I caught two 4+ foot black tips last night! That place gets some big sharks and it gets unnerving when dive under the fish cleaning stations and see the carcasses of bull reds piled up! |

~~~---> Thanks for the vid, I like your Jet Fins, I use the medium size for the jetties, They are strong and maneuverable for shore dives.
I could hammer Sheepshead all day! |
