After I shoot a fish, it never seems to last long as a pet.

I keep a tank for my kids. If they want something in the tank, they have to go catch it. Gets them away from the Xbox (at least in the summer).

Re: How many of us shoot and keep fish as pets?

I haven't had a tank up for about a year, but when I did, there were 15 of varying sizes all in my room. I liked to breed cichlids, catfishes, and tetras. Tried bettas (the fighting fish) but they make waaaaay too many offspring. I've probably raised more fish than I have killed. . .but the numbers should be evening out here soon since I don't have the time to keep tanks running now.

Not had a salt water tank yet but used to have a 110L tropical and a small brackish tank for a puffer fish.

I would love to have a lionfish in a salt water tank. I think we can all agree that as wretched of a creature as they are, they are pretty cool to observe.

I tried couple of times to have a tank but the fish always die. So after they die, I put them in the frying pan and I make fish popcorn
