I just ordered this light and will give a review after I use it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-CREE-XM.../290826129842?

I don't know anything about 18650 batteries. Are the ones that I'm getting good, or should I find a better brand to dive with?
I have 2 lights with the XML T6 and 18650 batteries now, it's a great little light with tons of brightness. Yours has the rubber click-button, and I think the only drawback with those is that at a certain depth (probably only a concern for tech scuba) the button becomes inoperable. It doesn't leak or anything you just can't use the switch because of the pressure.

Those batteries are a crapshoot, REAL ultrafire batteries are pretty reliable but as with everything else electronic, the online market is flooded with crappy chinese 18650 batteries wrapped with the ultrafire label.

Personally I went with a couple of these, just to avoid any uncertainty, and they have exceeded my expectations so far:
Amazon.com: Panasonic CGR18650CG Rechargeable 3.6V Li-ion 18650 Battery 2250mAh, 3008: Electronics Amazon.com: Panasonic CGR18650CG Rechargeable 3.6V Li-ion 18650 Battery 2250mAh, 3008: Electronics

If you want the best of the best, it's a little pricier:
18650 Smart Li-ion Charger and Two 3100mAh PROTECTED Orbtronic (Panasonic NCR18650A cell inside) Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Batteries Kit (NEW Version) - Amazon.com 18650 Smart Li-ion Charger and Two 3100mAh PROTECTED Orbtronic (Panasonic NCR18650A cell inside) Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Batteries Kit (NEW Version) - Amazon.com

That being said the Sanyo Eneloops are in everything I own and i wouldn't buy any other battery unless i was in a pinch and had to.

Looks like a nice light too, let us know how that works out.
A few of the amazon users have tested the "4000mAh" and "3200mAh" so-called ultrafires and found disappointing results too, sometimes only half of the rating on the label.

Awesome, thanks for the advice. I'm going to get some better ones for sure.

The light and the batteries are both suspect at the moment. The light is great...if it would work right. I have a feeling it's the batteries that are messing it up, but it keeps shutting off, dimming, and acting erratic. I'm going to buy new batteries and will post back.
