South Carolina man gets bitten on the head, shares attack video

https://www.charlotteobserver.com/ne...222295370.html
A South Carolina man was spearfishing in the Bahamas over the summer when a shark swam up and bit his head.

Will Krause, of Greenville, wrote on Facebook, “3 months ago (Aug 20, 2018), I survived a shark attack to the head while spearfishing in the Abacos. I was 25 feet below the surface when the 6-7 ft Reef Shark struck the back of my head & neck. I miraculously escaped with several stitches, some gnarly scars, & a viral GoPro video.”

My only thoughts are that Hogfish was pretty small. C'mon man.

It was probably mad at those morons shooting juvenile hogfish, FFS.

Indeed, but in this case it makes sense. Eat the 6 inch Hogfish or that guy's meat head...

I mean look at that thing. It can't be any bigger than an adult hand.

I’ve never seen a group of divers exit the water so quickly and I don’t blame them! Good thing that shark wasn’t bigger because it could have been much worse!

A bit of necking is dangerous when a shark is involved. Good thing this guy was as headstrong as he was and managed to come away without too much damage. I hope he doesn't let this encounter go to his head and continues to enjoy the sport. These things happen and now that quite a few dive with video these are being documented more often. Why did it test bite and why where it did? It's a headscratcher for sure

I seen what you did there. Crafty, but don't let it go to your head.

I think we have a case of recto-cranial inversion here.

"6-7 foot shark"? Nah, brah - more like 4-5 foot.

Hogfish? Good GOD I would drown anyone on my boat who came up with such a small hog - damn think couldn't have been bigger than 7 inches.

But hey, at least they were on a Contender!

Picture of him onshore at Foxtown. Millies place
DaValley bar. My son and I stayed last june.

They say it sharkey in north abacos but we didn't have a problem. Our guide did good job teaching my son to get the fish out of water Now and into the boat.
People also say if a shark is spotted, Move.

Ha!no doubt
Those grey (Caribbean?)reef sharks are the worst
There’s some reefs i dive down here (fl keys)when you shoot a fish as soon as they hear the gun go off there on you
Glad the dude survived
