I have .44,7.62x45 and .223 PPD's, I like the .223 because the bullet is traveling faster which creates more damage, they are small and they are CHEAP. As was stated earlier it's normally not the bullet that kills the fish its the concussion. The only down side to the .223 is that if you need to fire it again it is VERY hard to get the shell out under water(I carry 2 PPD's). In the end, each to his or her own.

No firing pin and no other built-in firing mechanism means that it is not any kind of firearm.
Legally it's basically a bullet, and a fancy, expensive bullet holder.

My .223 had the same casing removal problem. I carefully enlarged the receiver and now it works great.
