JBL M10 Trigger Mechanism

Just noticed while checking out the JBL spare parts listing that there is now an M10 trigger mechanism.
https://www.jblspearguns.com/product...ger-mechanism/

It looks pretty much like the previous M8, but does anyone know if there is anything different about it? Looks like there was never an M9, just moved straight onto a 10.

As a side note this error has been coming up in recent days.

Re: JBL M10 Trigger Mechanism

Pete, I am getting the same error when I select "New Posts".

I have not kept up with the M8/M10 progression. Are these derivatives of Kitto's M6? If so, is Kitto still involved? I just checked Kitto's website and it still says the M6 is NEW.

Yes, it is still the same mechanism layout. In the M8 the bumps on the levers were moved to short circuit the loading action and as the advertising says a reduction in loading is achieved with this one (M10) I expect that aspect has been further refined or possibly the biasing springs readjusted. This refinement of lever shapes changes the lever contacts so that release is slightly different to relatch as the levers press on each other during these actions.

I don't know if Kitto is still involved, but it seems likely. The mechanism is not overtaxed in the JBL guns, it can handle a lot of bands.

Re: JBL M10 Trigger Mechanism

This is an example of how timing bumps function on a four lever mechanism. They can be seen on the M8 levers, but I have no info on the M10. Compare this with the M7.

Note while the vertical navy blue arrow is forward of the trigger pivot pin then the torque pulls the mechanism closed, you don't want it passing behind the pin or the gun will shoot.

Re: JBL M10 Trigger Mechanism

As for the error problem the site may be under attack by some hackers who are trying to infiltrate the database.

Re: JBL M10 Trigger Mechanism

No input about the mech, but I too was getting that error while trying to access Spearboard as a whole a few days ago. Let's hope it is solved already.
