Bathtub 8-2-09. 20', decreasing over the day to 6'. Got my first sting by a scorpionfish too. Felt like a Mud Dobber wasp sting.

Re: Beach Vis

Great Vis off Palm Beach Yesterday. Swam out to the reef and did a nice drift past the Breakers. Shot several nice Triggerfish and Mangrove's. I saw some nice Tarpon, and a school of big Cuda's.

Right click. Add to favorites.

Feel free to copy me on any Mel to FP (and further south) plans. I have a one month old at home so spearing time is very limited but if I can squeeze in a beach dive I definately will. Hopefully going to the house of refuge Sat or Sun morning this weekend.

4-18-10Reports of clear water off the beach in Vero-Ft. Pierce. Southeast wind seems to have blown it in.

Re: Beach Vis

I picked up a stand up paddleboard (SUP) yesterday and was out in the ocean today off Cocoa Beach trying it out. No waves or anything, but I could see the bottom. Nice and clear water. Felt like the Bahamas. Don't know how the diving viz was, though.

Re: Beach Vis

went out to pecks lake today 5/16 for some snorkeling on my wave runner. water was super clear temp was 80's. Started headed back in 1/2 mile off shore to see if i could spot some cobe's or sharks, and sure did spoted a 8 foot bull with 2 cobe's on it and i got a little to close and the bull started raming the ski. The cobe's were big. I got the heck out of there he was becoming really agressive. any way just be careful out there.
