Ah...yes, I understand the concept. Part of my major was in fiber optics. From what I understand, they have two facilities, one in MO and one in WA. Both of them are designed the same, in which a facility has 2 'arms' if you wish, at 90 degrees to one another at precisely the same length, which IMO is one of the trickiest part of the measuring device because it has to be so precise down to levels only recently able to be achieved. I believe they have two facilities in order to solidify results.

After the news came out I tried like hell to find out what wave length they were. On read about the length of the wave in an article on Matter & Energy web site. That's what their article said, but it does make more sense for them to be short not long. I'll recheck it out.
