Re: Riffe Metal Tech Mach 5... reviews?

Sounds like they might release a mid-handle version of the mach 5 in the next couple of months.

Anyone know if this is the case?

Would this gun work much better as a mid-handle bluewater cannon as opposed to the current rear extended butt handle?

Re: Riffe Metal Tech Mach 5... reviews?

I got a new Mach 5 last weekend and haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I love the look and feel of the gun. This gun is amazing. I have it rigged with three 5/8th bands and breakaway to a float line. Can't wait to shoot some fish with it.

Keyskid, your gonna love it! Make sure the bands are 28.5'' long and use a 65 inch shaft. I have one set up that way and its a laser.

Absolutely love the gun. I have used it on a few trips now, and just last weekend I landed my PB 50lb Wahoo with it! Shot the fish's backbone and stopped him completely. The entire fight took like a minute! So happy I ended up buying it!

I had an early model that I customized with two of small wings, enclosed track, and an alloy muzzle so I could use four 5/8 inch bands. Here's the short review. Laser accurate, long range, hit like a mac truck, kicked like a mule. Loved the gun and wish I had never sold it, one of the biggest mistakes I ever made concerning guns.

I'm selling a sweet metal tech #5S. It's the Mach 5 set up except mine has the high density foam wings instead of the padauk wings. Mine also has the upgraded aluminum muzzle and threaded shaft with slip tip that don't come with the Mach 5. Here's a link to the sale:

Big fan of the Metal Tech 5. Did the wings, alu. muzzle, slip-tip, encl. track.
How does the Mach 5's weight, balance, recoil compare to this?

Looks like the only difference, is your wing kit isn't quite as long as the Mach 5. The wing kit goes all the way up to the muzzle. I absolutely love how it shoots. Here is a cool picture of my Mach 5

Cool picture is an understatement, that's a downright amazing picture.
