The Good old days

I have posted some cool diver newspaper pix from the good old days of diving in North and South California. Times have changed and some of it good such as protecting large sea bass. Enjoy. Jeff

Here's one early 70s key west. Stock island lobster's dock. No regulations.

Brings back some great memories of diving with, and against, some of the top guns from the old school...Bob Stanbery, Bob Donnell, Lionell Coates, Schnippershoff, et al....

Re: The Good old days

Didn't get to meet many locals my diving was interrupted by 20 years in Navy as a Diver for 15 years. Dove every chance I got all over Europe and East coast overseas. Nothing like the fish in the USA.

Is this the gun that did the "damage"?

Interesting caption would be "Are you sure you packed the cleaning knives as they aren't here?"

No cleaning I was broke in those days. Just a little spending and gas money.

Hell no the gun that got those fish was fitted with a 45 cal powerhead. The one you posted is a new roller gun.

The "damage" that I was referring to is the pile of halibut or flounder in the photo with the gun. I figured that more artillery was required for the whoppers on the wharf or dock.
