Lake McConaughy(Nebraska) visibility?

Has anyone dove in Lake McConaughy recently? How's the vis right now? Did you get anything worth shooting? I'm thinking of making a trip up there this weekend but since its a 5 hour drive I don't want to get up there and not be able to see anything so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Travis

Take a look at the report below titled "Big Mac July 4th". It might save you driving 5 hrs.

I’d go anyways, you can ALWAYS find fish at Big Mac regardless of viz. Fox shot a 9lb Walleye there last week on the dam. If the dam isn’t producing fish, hit the points across the lake and you should be fine and able to find some fish.
I don’t think I had a trip there that I didn’t shoot a 8lb+ walleye, at least one per day.

Let us know how it goes if you go.
Cheers!
Chad

Re: Lake McConaughy(Nebraska) visibility?

Was there on july 10, visibility is 5-10 fit, one of my worth diving experience, haven't seen anything except carp. I was there with 2 scuba spearos on a boat with fish finder. No one seen anything except bass. I think this lake should be good if visibility is ok. Those scuba spearos was already there for 2 days and they stay for one more day trying. I have seen 10lb walleye that woman cought on the rod. Good luck.
