Stolen Gun - Eyes out Pls

Hey all,

Sorry for posting in Report forum, but figure far more eyes will be on this. I also posted in the Santa Barbara thread, but thieves travel and know how to use Ebay/CL.

Wong 60" GR Plus stolen from fairly secluded neighborhood in SB. Pictures below. Also has a reel spooled with yellow line and Mori Slip tip on shaft.

Last name and channel islands engraved near handle.

I already reported it, but you know what will likely come of that.....

If anyone see's anything, please PM me.

Thank you everyone in advance.

If you (or anyone looking for anything stolen or not) don't already know of SearchTempest, here you go: http://www.searchtempest.com/

You can search every CL, EBAY, and some other sites all at once. Good luck man, looks like a tough loss, hope you get it back

Thanks Benny -- if there is a chance in finding it, a tool like that will really help. Apparently there has been a whole rash of these in our neighborhood over the last 6 months.....scum of the earth =(

If its a trend, might want to leave out some bait...

Would be awesome to leave a bag of bunk gear smothered in dog crap and set a wildlife camera, or small GPS tracker depending on how you'd like to handle it. Sucks about your gun, but it might be able to catch someone if they are concentrating on your neighborhood.

Great point.

After a rash of break-ins on the point (Santa Cruz), our quiet neighborhood had enough and baited/surveilled. Caught the meth-maggot red handed on a gopro hidden in a hollowed out melon.

Take back your neighborhood.

Very sorry to hear about your gun. I hope you get it back.

Must be the local tweakers trying to get some things to cluck a sack with. Like Benny said but I would do it a bit different.
Leave some bait out, you and a buddy wait for that maggot to fall for it then tackle him and tie his ass up, call the cops then beat the shit outta him while the cops arrive. Lol

Re: Stolen Gun - Eyes out Pls

Thanks for the recommendations -- I think the Neighborhood Community is narrowing it down. Someone got pictures from a motion sensor camera of a person breaking into cars down the street -- also matches the description of a shady person living in the neighborhood who is known to be in the 'drug' scene.

Now if we can just get the Sheriff to move a little quicker and check ASAP.....if its him, hopefully the gun is still around.

My guess exactly --- oh how sweet it would be to provide him with the "Justice" you have described

Re: Stolen Gun - Eyes out Pls

Thanks for keeping your eyes out...I did see that one myself shortly after my gun got stolen and first glance, about snapped, but realized quickly its not even close.

I have good leads and hoping we can get the Sherrif to make a move.... Hope to be able to report good news soon.

thanks agian!
