Weird Stuff (California Edition)
I saw a thread on here from a while back about things you can eat that are different from the everyday selection such as less prime fish and other things. However the thread was for Florida. I wanted to see if you guys had anything good for Southern California or that area. I'm willing to eat (or at least try) anything so if you have any good recipes or ideas I'd be stoked to hear them!

Re: Weird Stuff (California Edition)
That was probably my thread and I think the title was "the weird stuff". I've recently moved from Florida to Washington and I'm once again wondering what can be speared, grabbed, scraped off the rocks, or otherwise had that is outside the norm. I've already started in on the urchins which are more densely populated here than Tribbles once were on the Starship Enterprise. I've nibbled on some kelp and goose barnacles but haven't elevated them to meal status yet.

You need to get in touch with "Namor" in Santa Barbara. Homeboy has a very open mind and is a true sustinence harvester. He'll have all kinds of ideas for you...
Paging Namor!
