Wow!
Let me describe how your opening day and night went.... Catch a few waves, shoot a couple of yellows, shoot a seabass, then limit on lobsters! WTG!

Dang!!! You guys scored.
My opener was spent waiting for vessel assist. Didn't even get wet. Not the way I thought it was going to go down. |

It went like, shoot some yellows in the morning, surf some perfect waves in the afternoon, after being surfed out while eating some chips and salsa catch a seabass hook and line, then limits at night. One I will not forget! |

Can't match aus' epic day, but managed ten bugs total between two divers. The biggest were 5, 6, 8, and 9 pounders. A 7 would have made for a pretty decent poker hand.
Got stopped by park service who checked licenses and looked at our bugs. Nice guys, they didn't even bother to measure them. |

I live in the harbor. Tie the boat up at 3:30AM. Im in my bathroom when my girlfriend starts saying theres a man outside shining a flash light in the bedroom window, huhhh? 4am my doorbell rings twice... DFW, "lets go down to your boat and check out your catch". Get down to the dock and there is another game warden down there waiting for us. They look inside the bait tank, check the cards, don't measure any bugs or count the 21 we had. They trusted us and were super cool and stoked about everything. Was a little freaked out how they stalked us silently to my house and MADE us show them our catch on our dock. |

Re: 2016 Lobster Season Picture Thread
Hex, you are a badder dude than me. Friday night I saw that the winds were 15 gusting to 25 at the islands. We waited until 7 AM to leave the harbor and did daylight dives. Congrats on those nice looking bugs!
aus, that was a real chicken shit move on DFW's part. If they wanted to search you, they should have done it at the harbor entrance. Period. I have only heard of them coming onto someone's private dock twice. Both times it was for poachers who deserved what they got. Okay, enough venting. aus, congrats on that amazing day! |
