Re: Band width for carbon gun

Pete,

Any details on where you can place a small order of those colors in small id?

Ideally 14-16mm and in that sexy Teal?

Thanks in advance

Re: Band width for carbon gun

So I got a digital caliper to measure my bands and turns out they are 13.5 mm instead of 14 as I thought, so I will replace them with 14.5 and see how that feels. So with distance of 130 cm I get band length of 68 cm = 380%, right?

Percent Elongation = (Final length L2 - Initial Length L1)/Initial Length L1 x 100 or (L2 – L1)/L1 x 100 or DL/L1 x 100 where DL is the change in length L2 – L1

Therefore if the band doubles its length when stretched then the percent elongation is 100%, if the band triples its length then the percent elongation is 200%, if the band quadruples its length then the percent elongation is 300%.

Re: Band width for carbon gun

If you buy a 50 foot roll then you can always split it with other users who want to use that color. The rubber roll can be stored in a round jumbo sized biscuit tin with a press on lid. You throw a handful of tire maker’s talc into the tin, put the rubber coil in and replace the lid and then shake and upend the tin turning it over a few times. This distributes the talc throughout the rubber and stops it from sticking to itself. Dymo label the tin and store it in a cool place and keep a record of how much you cut off each time, then you will know how much is left in the tin.

correct!
going from triple 13.5mm to 14.5 you're going to get a serious increase in power! and still easy to load

Re: Band width for carbon gun

Maybe create a thread asking who else would be interested in that size and color and do a group purchase of 100 bucks worth, that is assuming that you don't have to buy all 200 feet of it. From memory 50 feet is more than 100 dollars, but less than 150 dollars.

Found this in an old post from 2013
http://forum.spearfishing.com.au/thr...yths-and-Facts
Some companies buy in such large quantities they get a seriously low price on the rubber (5000 ft. at a time). and can sell it to you almost or even cheaper than if you purchased directly from Primeline. Primeline will sell directly to you but you need a minimum order of 100 feet and the price at that level of bulk order would be $2.54 cents a foot for 5/8” x 1/8” ID (Amber, Black/Amber, and pure black) same price. If you wanted to try the new 1/16” ID hold that is 5/8” x 1/16 you would need to order a minimum of 100 feet at a cost of 2.97 per foot.

Neptonics have a 50 foot roll of black:https://neptonics.com/product/50-foot-box-of-rubber/ for USD109.99 (14 mm)

You already told us that in a previous post, what I wanted to know is whether it would be say be 5 feet or 10 feet of a particular color or whatever minimum that they would consider. For example the amount they may be prepared to chop off an 800 foot roll would be different to the amount off a 200 foot roll as they will have to sell what is left to others, that is to bulk customers who may want 100 foot multiples or whatever.

Re: Band width for carbon gun

They have been short with words over email, the direct quote is “you can select any quantity of any of the colors below that you want.

Have a great day!

Best regards”

They have yet to respond to pricing per foot request.

The more you buy then the more voluble they may be, I suggest that you ask for 20 feet of the flo blue which is a reasonable size order. I am wondering how my Metaltech would look with pastel pink as previously I have used black and amber.
